1. Met with Dr. Littman in the new library. Reviewed the Dissertation Update dated 9/14/02.
2. Also, discussed plans to conduct the case study, specific procedures, and formats for presenting the results in a manner similar to the Metcalf dissertation. Data sources will include project journal, presentations, system documentation, and personal interviews with SMEs
3. Dr. Littman also commented that a Definition of Terms section is required in Chapter one.
4. Will meet with Dr. Littman again on Monday, December 9. Need to confirm exact time.
5. Stayed at the Courtyard - Plantation.
6. Went to MIFL and performed WLAN survey for Project Napoli on Sunday.

Step 2 - Review and data analysis of the empirical materials. Data analysis is modeled using a Gantt chart. The chart provides structure for the presentation of the information. In addition, the title is mapped back to the steps in the SDLC model.

Dissertation Update - Ron Wolak (9/14/02)
1. Previous Meeting (6/7/02)
a. Met with Dr. Littman in her office today. Reviewed the Dissertation Update dated 6/10/02 and obtained her signature on the approval forms for the Idea Paper, Preliminary Proposal, and Committee Formation.
b. Met with Dr. Sun and Dr. Mukherjee in their offices today. Reviewed the Dissertation Update dated 6/10/02 with both and obtained their signatures on the Committee Formation forms.
c. Met with Ebony Farrington in GSCIS administration and turned over all the signed forms and a marked up copy of the Preliminary Proposal per Dr. Littman's direction.
d. Received marked up copy of Preliminary Proposal from Ebony. Dr. Littman's note on the paper indicated that changes were to be incorporated in the Formal Proposal.
