Today is a Great Day!!! Submitted my Final Dissertation Report to Dr. Littman for approval.....

Met with Dr. Littman today in Fort Lauderdale. Reviewed the Dissertation Update dated 3/10/03 and discussed progress to-date on the Final Dissertation Report. Dr. Littman commented that all Appendixes should be described and referenced in the body of the paper and that Figure text should be readable. She also requested an e-mail progress report on April 10th to ensure that the Dissertation Report is on schedule for graduation this June.

Attended the UPE Honor Society induction ceremony today. Met briefly with Dr. Sun and Dr. Mukherjee at the patio reception and discussed the status of our Final Dissertation Reports. Also, it looks like GSCIS will be moving to larger facilities again in July. Plans are to move to the 4th floor of the new Business School building.


Dissertation Update - Ron Wolak (3/10/03)

1. Previous Meeting (12/9/02)
Met with Dr. Littman at her home in Fort Lauderdale and reviewed the Dissertation Update dated 12/9/02. Discussed ongoing revisions to Formal Proposal and plans to resubmit the paper prior to the new year.

2. Dissertation Progress
a. Submitted 2nd revision of the Formal Proposal December 20, 2002.
b. Formal Dissertation Proposal approved 1/17/2003 by Dr. Littman, Dr. Mukherjee,
and Dr. Sun.
c. Currently working on chapters 4 & 5 of the Final Dissertation Report.
The following have been completed:
- Case study evidence collection and organization into the AAM WLAN
initiatives journal.
- AAM WLAN initiatives journal database to catalog journal documents
- AAM WLAN initiatives project planning document.
- Chapter 4 empirical data sources and data analysis sections.

3. Wireless Conferences
a. Attended: Cisco/Sarcom WLAN Seminar - Detroit, MI February 5, 2003.
b. Scheduled: Angelbeat – Detroit, MI April 8, 2003.
c. Scheduled: Gartner Symposium/ITxpo - Orlando, FL October 19-24, 2003 .

4. Future Meetings with Dissertation Chairperson
June 29, 2003 for Graduation or June 30, 2003 at 2 pm to review Dissertation progress.

5. Upcoming Dissertation Due Dates
April 22, 2003 Final Dissertation Report Submitted.
